Who We Are
The Ministry was established in the year 1999. It was formerly known as Ministry of Special Duties of the past military administrations. It was thereafter established by the then incumbent Governor, Late Lamidi Adesina’s administration on the 27th July, 1999. There are presently five (5) Directorates in the Ministry namely: Directorate of Local Government Inspectorate, Directorate of Local Government Affairs, Directorate of Chieftaincy Matters, Directorate of Administration & Supplies, and Directorate of Finance & Accounts.
